Using an old or discontinued browser to access the web is like living in a crumbling house – you never know where it will fail. This applies to all brands of browsers – try to keep updated to the latest ones. It especially applies to Microsoft because they have officially ended support for all Internet Explorer browsers except IE11 and the latest Edge browsers as of 1/12/2016.

Beginning January 12, 2016, only the most current version of Internet Explorer available for a supported operating system will receive technical supports and security updates. Internet Explorer 11 is the last version of Internet Explorer, and will continue to receive security updates, compatibility fixes, and technical support on Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10.
